Reverse that 47,000 No I won't get a fine because I'm not going. Now I know for next time. Once I hit 47,000 I need to scale it to find out exactly how much more I can get on. Yeah I know there's someone gonna say they don't haul more than 15, 20, 25,000. You just keep sticking to your cheap freight. My limit is not weight. Its $$$ and at $4pmi. and higher I don't care how much weight they put on. As long as its legal.

No it was answered in the 1st reply. I was just checking back in to see if someone had a different answer or maybe even a direct link to the law itself. I've been around the CA and NV site. Just couldn't find it.

Wonder if he wants to go across Boulder Dam also?
Someone needs to figure out that these threads don't always stay on the exact topic, or question. Statements were made by other "drivers" that all western states require chains in possession...the original question was answered right away...then the "discussion" expanded from that. -
Commercial Vehicles
- Washington's tire chain use requirements for trucks are specific and complicated, according to the Smart Trucking Jobs website. The number of tire chains truckers are required to carry depends on the number of drive axles, and trucks must carry tire chains from November 1 to April 1 on certain Washington routes.
When traffic control signs marked "chains required" are posted by the Washington State DOT, it's illegal for any vehicle or combination of vehicles with a 10,000 GVWR to enter the controlled area without having chains mounted on their tires. Failure to install chains may result in fines and even accidents on icy or snowy roads.
