"Never do a buttonhook after you pass your CDL test"

Do you agree with Knightcrawler that a truck driver should never buttonhook a right hand turn?

    Pepperidge Farm definitely doesn't remember that. IL-83 between Elk Grove and Downers Grove was t-bone central until left turn arrows were introduced in the late 80s.

    83 was definitely the wild west when those NW burbs started exploding in the 70's & on. My aunt moved to Bloomingdale in the early 70's, we used to run 83 all the way from Alsip to North Ave, then over to 53. That was viable for about 5 years before traffic made the toll road a better option.

    If I were making a left-hand turn, and I pulled out in front of you and stopped in the middle of the street in front of you, waiting for traffic from my right to clear up, you would bend over freakin' backwards to ensure consequences to me and my employer.
