No sir. I’ll blast the much more mainstream and corporate culture friendly Reign in Blood. I think it aligns nicely with most companies’ mission statements.

We used to chain up in trash. Oh boy. Spent much time repairing chains. Repairs on truck from broken chains. Damage to tires. And that was low mileage.
Now I’m supposed to chain up and do 500 or more miles in a day? Nope I don’t think so.
Chains are for getting out of trouble.
Even then. It can get bad enough that chains won’t save you.
Give me below zero with ice. No problem without chains. No problem at all.Last edited: Apr 8, 2018

Luckily i dont have to do extended schooling to advance at least part way up the chain. We use proprietary software and were a private fleet so its company hoops more than anything. I still have my clean as a whistle A, tank, no restrictions and a good health card. I do the company road tests, and ride alongs. I could go back to driving tomorrow if needed.2Girls_1Truck Thanks this.

The guy who hired me doesn’t even have a Bachelor’s degree, but I pretty well know I’ll be competing against others who do for any job with my company now. We’re privately owned as well, but they require specialized degrees for just about everything (an MBA, or 6 years of university, to work outside sales). Plus, to move beyond taking drivers on scary trips around the block and into an executive position, a minimum of a master’s degree would be required, plus 10-15 years of working as a recruiter.WesternPlains Thanks this.

Wow! Luck beyond luck to ya. Hafta say i doubt i would be on this path in most cases. I seriously figured i would be a driver for life. With the setup i would be either bored or annoyed. Now im always busy and "i" get to be the annoying one!

To be candid. I think this just shows the over abundance of degrees these days.Brickwall Thanks this.
