I could look into leading a W9 Straight truck built to our specifications. -
Most of the C and B straight trucks we see around here are like PB 330's (not sure what the KW equivalent is), maybe 9L motors, etc. Short, small and light. They don't need huge power because they aren't hauling huge loads.
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Before we switched over to all Hinos I split my time between a T300 and a Sterling Acterra that had both seen better days. Both were the last manuals in the fleet. I called the KW "James Bond" because it's number ended in 007.

Mike2633 and Shep Shiloh Thank this.

A lot of our straight trucks around here vary but the majority are Freightliner M2 and usually 20-26ft cargo hold isn't that uncommon.

There is a company about a mile down the road from us that has everything from cargo vans to semis. Two weeks ago one of their semis burnt to the ground and heavily damaged the one parked next to it. The one that was heavily damaged had been owned by Towne Air Freight and was used to haul Notre Dame's football equipment trailer. At one time they also had at least one of our old Sterlings. Even though it had their signage on the door, enough of our old logo remained visible on the box that it might've made some people scratch their heads.
Mike2633 Thanks this.
