extremely poor management, and paychecks are never correct you will always be lacking hours that you work.

That's why i always record my hrs ,when the pencil slips it never slips my way .....according to law the employer will issue a check that day for the difference .....you could even take possession of the equipment to hold in escrow until things are settled

They must pay by the hour there. I'll bet what's happening is they're rounding if off to the quarter hour for the sake of making the math easier, most likely down.
