It all just depends on how the parameters are set, if you have some pencil pushing office manager that has never never driven a truck off the lot, I'm sure they can be difficult, but if you have them set correctly for the LOAD you haul, and WHERE you run, they can be very forgiving.
Sometimes you do have to experiment a bit, and change parameters after they are in service, unfortunately, most people figure whatever it left the factory with is best.
Think of it like a driver seat, if they were all bolted down to the floor with no adjustment I'm sure there would be numerous complaints.

Agree with this above. I drove an unmolested 12 speed auto in a 2016 and loved it. But a friend at May Trucking is suffering with the same setup, as the beancounters programmed out the performance mode and manual shift mode entirely, the latter which I would almost say is dangerous. But then again I'd be ready for the rubber gun squad in a week if I had to go 61 MPH.

So these have been in-service for a while now. Anybody running them able to determine if the built in antennas are an improvement over previous years? AM radio? CB radio? Same? Better? Worse?

Im sorry to hear that. Get me the beancounters into a room with me in charge of what a truck ought to have on it. Im pretty sure you will have a truck you will be happy with. If the bean counters don't like it, I fire em and hire you and however many other drivers I need to lol.

A construction company I drove for started with one man and one dump truck. His daughters wound up taking over the operation.
Here's the best part. I blew a tire one day. They asked where I was. I said "mile marker 79 on I-95."
"Uh, that doesn't tell me anything".

I taught my parents what those green numbers meant. One day one had a life ending heart attack, due to the other knowing why that green milemarker with the number 6 on it next to the car allowed the EMT to go right to where they were saving one life ultimately with like a triple bypass.
You can teach parents many things and it will go in one and out the other. But that lesson stayed with them I think for a joyful result. It's enough for me to know that people know how to use those yardsticks.Lepton1, KANSAS TRANSIT and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
To be fair, she may not have known the state, but more than that, that info is not helpful when you need to type in a nearest city and state when searching for tire shops and mechanics and so forth.

Well, they only operated in MD. Also, one of their own mechanics came out and changed it. They weren't about to pony up the kind of money for another shop to come out.
