Tell you what, come to Colorado, live with me, and we'll sit on a bank of sand and watch the river flow. Chinatown will be along soon, and will have a slew of ideas for you, all credible. Now, before he starts in, couple things. If you haven't been out there since the 90s, a huge surprise awaits. My biggest hangup today, is I'm computer illiterate, meaning, EVERYTHING is done electronically, and a big problem for me. I never knew anyone that had any luck with teams, and that includes married folks. It's another schedule you have to allow for, and I sure wouldn't do it. Also, Chinatown prefers OTR and his suggestions reflect that. I was always a regional driver, and just a better life.
"Ice Road Truckers",,whistles, there's a reference for ya'. Biggest load of malarkey to ever hit the screen. This "Lisa" sure spilled the beans on that one, you aren't Lisa, are you? Anyway, good luck, you came to the right place. Let us know how you do, eh? And for the record, that long out of the loop, yes, you will be treated as a new driver, and that sucks. One prospective job recruiter told me that once after a long time off. I told him, I was trucking when he was in diapers, didn't matter, too long out of the loop. I told them, and the entire industry to cram it with walnuts after that.

Okay, but if you're looking for a driver make sure you do it in the Help Wanted section, not the main forum.

Thank you kindly for the input.
As far as the ice road trucker thing goes… I didn’t drive that TV show route. They drove from Fairbanks to Deadhorse. I was on the actual North Slope Ice. Deadhorse and beyond.

I don’t mind being a rookie again. Keeps me humble.
But I thank you for taking the time to reply.
    Best wishes to you.

Well, you've had some pretty good suggestions above/previously.

What kind of feedback did you get from them? That might help to know, with other suggestions....

Do you still think you'd want to relocate down to the lower 48?
