New at 32

First I would like to say thanks to the creator and contributors to this forum.
I've been looking around for the last couple of weeks and the wealth of information is invaluable.

My name is Nigel and I'm new to the game.
I've been in the restaurant industry since 12 and have managed since 17.
To be honest, I'm a little scared of making this change but excited at the same time.
I've listened to my Uncles stories about the road pretty much my entire life and they always seemed to call me in a positive way.

I'm in week 3 at US Truck Driver Training School Sterling Heights branch.
I've been offered pre-employment at both Con-Way and Werner. (leaning towards Con-Way due to the prospect of moving to their local division which has a hub down the street)
Any information on either would be great.
Still kind of considering other options out there like Stevens and TMC. (opinions on all are welcome)

I am very happily married with two children (14 and 13).
I understand that I will be paying my dues for a while and that I will be building my earning potential as I drive and prove my commitment to service and safety.
Any other tid-bits of information that someone wants to give is more than welcome.

Well....hope I didnt say something wrong as I never received any replies...lol.
It looks like I am officially going to orientation with Con-Way in Taylor MI on July 30'th.

Any advice for me out there?
