100k cargo should be under 1k per year. 7-800 normally. Do not pay 5k for cargo insurance. Sounds like your insurance company is trying to stiff you.

Cargo insurance is pretty cheap the liability is the expensive one.1$12000 to$15000 that someone posted on here it's hard for me to believe my liability, cargo and physical damage doesn't add up to that much a year
-
This is per truck correct?
-
My 100k Cargo with $2500 deductable is $1200 with progressive. This is my first year. But I recently heard progressive isn't taking new authorities anymore, not sure if that's true or not.
tbdieseltrucking and SoDel Thank this. -
Yes it's per truck.
-
That's what I've heard also..
-
Progressive is not writing new authorities (less than a year old) anymore.
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
National indemnity has my liability and Hartford has my main cargo but not sure right off hand on the secondary 100k general freight cargo I have.
-
First year authority(2016). Need to have insurance in place before authority will be granted. $100,000 cargo was $1,500.00, and my liability was $4500.00. One truck, 2 trailers, full 48 state operating authority. My insurance company filed BOC-3 for me($40). I did my authority myself.
SoDel Thanks this.
