Auto Liability, the one they said is rolled into the $11k. The other General Liability isn’t required by Law. It’s cheap enough, and can be added easily if ever needed. I’m curious why it’s quoted that way. Maybe Progressive requires General Liability to insure you. It covers anyone injured on your Truck or Trailer. Covers someone that bumps their head, or rides their bike into you while parked. Highly unlikely. Lumpers have their own Workman’s Comp. Yet I’ve been told it would become an Industry Standard retirement for most Shippers, years ago. Hasn’t happened yet,

Ok yes the auto liability was 750k. I changed it to 1mil and it added 3k to the premium F6915DD4-9C8A-47F9-97B8-E6C4A9062DF1.jpeg

That looks more like it. Where’s the Cargo? That was $1300 on the first estimate. I wouldn’t trust that estimator. Need to talk to an Agent, find out what’s required by Law. What’s required by them. I would also get a quote for $1000 deductible, vs. $2500. Might not be much more. The Cargo has a deductible also. Mine is $1000.

Yes the cargo is included. I just couldn't fit it in the picture.

Im looking at companies such as JJ Keller to file my paperwork and I think I changed my mind due to the price just for them to file some paperwork for me.

Anyone else do the paperwork themselves?

    I did not.
I used a local clerk company but if not them I would have used OOIDA or DAT loadboard to establish the authority.
The reason was I did not want to omit or forget about something and the drug consortium was included in the package.
I think I paid $900 but that's the type of bureaucratic procedure that if screwed up may have been needed to be redone all over again, not too mention a wasted time.

Yea I just don't want to forget anything or fill something out incorrectly. Yeah I seen one for about $700 that included the drug consortium also.......

    That's good.
Filling with FMCSA is $350 alone, if I remember correctly, and a drug consortium around $100.
If I were to do it again, I'd most likely use OOIDA.
BTW you can also call them and ask about their insurance. I heard that Landstar did not approve it but who wants to book loads from those double brokering swindlers, anyway?

    Rideandrepair and nikmirbre Thank this.
