Apply anyway; a few students posted they were hired right out of CDL school. This seems to have happened after Central was purchased by Daseke.
Submit the online applications and see what happens.

Do the online applications even if you think you won't get the job; just never know once they have that application and looking at an empty truck sitting there.

So far out of all companies I have checked out, the only one that has said I could go with a trainer for a few weeks is werner and cr england both of which I would rather not. Still have more research to do, and will call system trans and others tommorrow. Covenant wants me to just hop in truck with unknown person and drive team, I said no thanks. Looking for companie closer to home(Boise Area) but may have to go further out. May look at Prime. Some companies asked if I could pass the road test since I haven't been in a standard truck since school. I said sure, I am confident enough to pass the road test but would prefer to go with trainer for a few weeks and learn to shift properly. Or is this something I will pick up with practice. I know this is all contrdictory to some of my original feelings. Will keep looking for now.

Midwest-Coast Transport has a terminal in Boise. Used to be Willis Shaw Express (WSE).
They have merged, so now just Midwest-Coast Transport. This company will probably hire you. -
thanks. I was wondering what happened to the WSE terminal.

You should give US Xpress a second look. The pay for solo drivers is pretty good and if/when your wife is ready to team again it's a good place for that. The company has 10 speeds and automatics.

I checked their website and it didn't have anything for solo in this area, but I emailed USexpress and asked what was available, will call them in the morning...It will prob be a year before Andre go's back on road.
TruckDuo Thanks this.
