I bought a pair of Cat boots several years ago and they were so uncomfortable and actually painful that I'll bet that I wore them less than 3 days, I only carry them in the truck in case a receiver requires them.
Take a look at Dr Martens padded over the ankle still toes, I absolutely love them very comfortable and easy to wear for long days. My last pair are about 10 years old and were about $110 online.
New Boot Question.

The 20 years I worked in a factory, I wore Double H steel toe cowboy boots. To me they were the best. Now in summer I wear tennis shoes, but with all this snow I got a pair of Redhead model MC670 hiking shoes from Bass Pro Shops. The best shoe I've had for walking on hard packed snow and ice, almost nonslip

My favorite as far as comfort is twisted X non steel toe slip on work boots. However they are a second as far as traction to ariats I think. I usually rotate them. Wear out a twisted x then buy ariat, wear them out then buy twisted x again. Cost bout the same and I get around two years out of either.

Best boots you can buy, oil-resistant,slip-resistant, (no slipping at the fuel pumps) abrasion-resistant (no wear through showing steel toes) Electrical Hazard-resistant, Steel shank, Steel toe, water proof, OrthoLite[SUP]®[/SUP] footbed (no need to buy any insoles)

Those Cats look good too. Here are some pics of my very own boots. They are about 5 or 6 years old. I use them to kick my tires during pre-trips and has had diesel fuel spilled on them many times, and with Ever-Guard coating, I see no wear on toes. And with the oil resistant soles, I can walk through fuel pumps and garages with no problems.
And they are so comfortable I never take them off until bedtime. But I have had to replace the laces.

I have never wrote a company and gave them a good review until I bought a pair of Red Wing boots 2 years ago. They are black and on the bottom of the boot it says "WORX" These boots have been great. I am 60 and have bought work boots all my life but these are the best I ever had. Zipper on the side also.

No offense, but I think zippers on boots are for girls. I like to lace up my boots on tight, better performance for working, walking, running and climbing up and down.
How many athletes, football players, track stars wear zip up shoes???
But I see some truck drivers wearing flip flops too, so I guess each their own -
No offense taken , I'm not a girl but did have back surgery so that is why I have the ones with zippers. They also tie up for real men like you. Believe it or not I can also work, walk, run and climb up and down. These boots tie as tight as you want and then you can unzip on the side to take off.
Need to go check my make up !!!

Have the same boots. These are made in china. Look for the actual redwing boot made in the USA. pricey, but well worth it. About 60 dollars more then my WORX. My WORX just fell apart at the heel last week under 2 years of continuous use.
Zippers made for girls? I wear a Size 15 with side zipper and laces. PITA too take off full laced boots, Ankle Zippers and laces are great. Obviously never experienced Zippers with Laces. Who cares about the athletes? I earn my income and not sponsored by a shoe company. How old are you to be influenced by athletes?
