Of the two, what advantages are with the lighter Boydstun carrier trailer? What about service after the sale? Cottrell has been around for years though...
The Boydstun didn't handle big units well, at least that's what I hear. Boydstun & Lohr are both more flexible than the Cottrell in load configurations. Cottrell has made quite a few improvements lately, since Lohr started selling fairly well. But their welding skills still suck. And there's still very much a west coast bias for Boydstun service, and the opposite for Cottrell. Me? You'd have to fight me to get me out of my Lohr.
