How about this i needed to fax new bills . Thats all it was . The prick started out with the name calling shouting screaming swearing because he had to stop at a truck stop to get them. So he tells me how its going to be . Well i do not care how bad your day is you do not talk to people like that. F him. So he starts in he is not delivering load i will sue you ect. The guy lost his mind over nothing at all just went mental. So after is abuse calls and treats for hours . Was time to stop the stupid game. Dont get the new bills do as you like you own the #### . Have fun with that . Thats what we did . If anyone thinks that is the way to get a head they are in for a shock

If you are upset with what a broker can make . Try this park your truck up and become a broker. You will find out fast that they do not make as much as most people think they do.

That's all it was huh? 30 to 60 minutes of his day just vanished. Plus he has to pay for the faxes not to mention the truck stop was probably 50 miles OOR. Because you screwed up. I tell you how I would have handled it after he blew up at me.

"Yes sir, I understand your frustration but I made a mistake and I apologize. Trucking is 10% about what happens and 90% about how we react to what happens. I will give you $50 for your time and a revised rate sheet will be at the truck stop waiting for you. I am sorry for the inconvenience and I appreciate the extra effort."

The right way was for you to apologize for your screw up. Take the crap. And pay for your mistake.

That's what a trucking company does every day.

I can't believe you "got with the shipper and receiver" and asked them to screw him over because he blew up at you. That is about the most trivial thing I have ever heard. If I was a shipper and your were calling me with this whining I would have said, "You booked the truck not me. What do you think I pay you for?"

Since when does it take an hour and 50 miles oor to simply get a fax number the next time you stop to take a leak or stop for coffee. As for the piddly 5 bucks it cost to receive a fax, if five bucks is going to bend you out of shape that much, time to stop pulling that buck a mile freight.
I've pulled my truck out of more than one shipper because of people throwing attitudes, can't blame safe here for doing the equivalent. Act like an ####### guys what, you will get treated like one.

This pretty much sums it up. Since its so easy to be a broker and they make so much money, how come all you broker haters don't park your trucks and open up a brokerage office?

Not sure how you think a guy not wanting to be yelled and cussed at makes him a white collar bully.
Trying to get mode money by telling, cussing, and threatening to turn the reefer off will never end well for you.

Stop for coffee? You act like the truck was 500 miles away from the shipper. I've been down this road a million times...broker screws up the paperwork and truck has to go to a truck stop to get new bills before he can get through the gate. Truck is a few minutes from shipper and now has backtrack to get the fax. Broker acts like it's no big deal....yeah been there done that...no big deal for the broker maybe.

Broker already said he "had no problem paying the $50" therefore we know it was the broker's error and I am sure IF the broker took responsibility there would have been no problem......BUT you see, the broker didn't apologize and pay up and that is what set the driver off. As I said I can totally see how a driver would get ticked off in that situation.

Because he tried to get the truck to pay for his mistake. If he would have paid the $50 there would have been no cussing.. Seems pretty simple to me.
