I REALLY wanted to drive for them but I can't do flatbed due to current physical limitations. Best of luck and keep us posted- be safe!

I am impressed. One of a few companies that actually post their health benefits and cost for employees. And a major carrier to boot!

They hire from the school I am going to as well. I might check into them. Best wishes for your success there.

The first two days this week have been pretty busy. We were in class Monday morning learning trip planning and on the yard backing all afternoon. Today was more classroom followed by more backing. Tomorrow is a 26 mile road test.

Today was exciting. We all had to take a driving test. I was the last to go and while I was driving an outside front trailer tire blew out. It sounded like a shotgun went off behind my head. I did pass the test though.

My husband is looking into mcelroy too, for the physical agility test how much do they make you lift? How are you supposed to lift it? Can you give me some details, my husband would like to experiment at home :). I heard somewhere that you will be sent home during orientation if your shifting skills are slightly lacking is that true? Or is it just if you fail the driving test?

The physical agility test wasn't too bad. You have to lift a 100lb tarp chest high one time.

As far as shifting nobody got sent home from my class. We all scraped some gears. They don't expect you to be perfect.

Well I'm sitting waiting at the truck for my trainer to arrive and start my four weeks of training.
