New Career

You aren't even a trucker yet, and you slam experienced drivers? What does education have to do with anything? BTW, you aren't the only member with an education around here, so don't pat yourself on the back too hard.

Never driven a chicken truck, got my license in 1999. Anything else you would like to know?

I'm a moderator on this forum, so I read every thread on here, and have a very good idea what is really going on in the industry. I also know many drivers outside the forum, along with others in the industry.

Like I said, browse the forum and see how drivers are really doing. It's not that pretty in the biz right now, so use your education and educate yourself about what is really happening in the industry first.

 

If you don't have the sense to listen to advice why even bother coming here ? Don't forget . He who laughs last laughs best. And we are not stating opinions . We are posting facts and statistics . The wannabes are the ones posting their dreams and opinions . Brains and education apparently don't help much with shifting , do they ?

 

I was talking about the very professional Mr. Rick G on the CHICKEN TRUCK!! Half the old drivers in here probably couldn't pass a GED test much less a CDL pre-check or skills test. You want to be NEGATIVE I can be NEGATIVE TOO. Just admit it you guys are afraid of losing your jobs to more knowledgable people who have schooling and education. Don't worry be happy!! LOL Why do you think these companies are hiring us? It's not because the economy is booming it's because they know that there are higher quality folks who can actually add and subtract now looking to make a career in trucking and that makes it all the better for them. I guess some companies still want a bunch of old farts to pull the wool over their eyes but I wouldn't say too many!!

Why are you acting like you are worried about ME Rick? You don't even know me. The cold hard truth is that you are worried that someone with an actual brain is going to take your job. Now get back to that CHICKEN TRUCK I'm hungry!! LOL
