My budget only allowed me to use points at Loves, so sorry to say I didn't find any miracle cure for mediocre SWR. However I was able to document a few short cuts, while keeping the install pretty clean (and most important, not violating the lease agreement).
Items: Wilson (Cascadia only) mirror mount, Wilson RG8x coax with Fme mini connector, RoadPro perch mount, Wilson HD SS antenna stud/lug, and K-40 4' fibreglass antenna.
Tools: Ratchet w/ T40, T25, T20 bits; 6mm hex key, razor blade, and a few wrenches.
Start with removing the two T40 torx bolts (passenger side), and install the new bracket using the new bolts w/ 6mm Hex key. Install the perch mount, stud/lug, antenna, and coax (PL259 end, NOT Fme).

Feed your coax into the engine compartment

Open the hood, and find the single unused rubber grommet located passenger side of lower right firewall. Cut a small slit to push through the coax.

Next remove the 6 or 8 (I forget how many?) T25 passenger lower kick panel screws. If you push 6" through the grommet, you'll see it. Back it out if needed and route it under all other wiring. Then pull it all the way through.

Leave 3"-6" for redo's or errors, then throw the entire length atop the dash and stuff the length along the passenger side into the gap running vertically along the dash. I continued stuffing it into the window column all the way up, and over with only 2" visible at the dash and another 4" near the centre windshield column. I slid the Fme connector side into the metal track and took just a min to fish it into the cb compartment.

This entire install may be 30 min tops. And scored 1.5 SWR.
Good luck!

I would save my pennies in my piggy bank and find a long shaft Browning antenna. I'm not sure why a lot of people run these fiberglass antennas on here. you can get them online and at most good cb shops for a reasonable price. another driver I met told me he gets a 1:0 flat swr. with his
a 1:5 is a high swr. just saying peace outTheDude1969 Thanks this. -
I've gotten a perfect SWR out of the factory junk too.......but still couldn't talk as far as I could see the other driver........... But, a good SWR, on a good antenna with a single dedicated coax should perform pretty decent. A good top loaded, fiberglass antenna is hard to beat, especially if you get one over 5ft......and cheap to replace.
slim6596, Ougigoug, TheDude1969 and 1 other person Thank this. -
well true dat -----they are cheap too replace. . .TheDude1969 Thanks this.

look up dx engineering tell them your interested in the phar rite mix.... think they run about $32 bucks. plus shipping. they come with 5 phar rites I run one right under the antenna one on the quall com cable.one each on the cables coming out my amp. I run a lot of power. radio and amp wise. the phar rites suppress rf ......TheDude1969 Thanks this.

yup that's them..looks like they sell 8 of them now for $36.95.they spell them ferrite and pronounce them phar-rite .worth the $$$ especially if you run some power...ya don't want too burn up the ecm in a company truck.......TheDude1969 Thanks this.

Its not my first choice for this truck either, but it was already purchased just two months ago... unfortunate timing when they switched trucks on me, but it is what it is, for now.
If you have experience with these Casadias, there is an ongoing thread you may be able to help with.
