I saw that earlier. And yes but also no. I dont think they will allow C15 swaps from most modern engines this is more a "we are running out of good blocks in the wild and there is enough demand to break out the mold" type thing doesnt mean people wont do it and a brand new engine would deffo add decades to several trucks on the market today.....but at the same time its not really going to change anything.

Then again with the massive percentage of emissions parts that come from the east and events that way.....who know /shrug

You have to turn in a core to order one and you can’t go backwards with emissions. So if you had a newer Cummins and wanted to swap you’d need to find a junk pre emission Cat to turn in.

Why would anyone trade a Cummins for a CAT?

The question is who would give you anything more than some wore out main bearings out of a Cat for a Cummins?

It's going to be a good option for repowering some recent built gliders since you can't order them anymore.

Why not ask that question to all the ISX owners that have ventalated boat anchors sitting in between their frame rails

You'd be a fool not to trade a junk Cummins for a good Cat
