New CB`er knows nothing . HELP

YOU GUYS HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR AT AT ALL..

 

Wish I had beer to blame it on but that wasnt the case, just a senior moment I guess, sux getting old, LOL.

 

A guy brought in A cobra 29 to Bob in Richmond hill ga. And he had done the same thing...

Guys a newbie and he's ready for the whole sha-bang. Gotta give him credit for his bravado.. he should talk to ridgeline or even rabbi....

Gotta love it , the minute a driver gets his solo status they want to hookup an amp, but at least he is smart enough to want to have a radio, thats rare today so I give him credit. My first 2 years of driving I got by with a stock Cobra 19 and it did fine and then I bought a used Cobra 148gtlf and then started trying different 10 meter exports and now Im back to cobra 29 or BC 980 and do just fine, I listen more than I talk anyways.

Every forum you read everyone bashes it calling snake oil, junk, p.o.s and and a joke yet I doubt anyone of them actually purchased one and used it so how a radio gets a negative reputation by people is a mystery, its like a wild fire in Florida that keeps spreading out of control. I read the info ad for it, looks like they upgrade componants in the driver section and receive section which is what other techs do, is it overpriced ? thats up to the buyer to decide, would I like to see one on a scope or analyzer like Rabbi asked in his phone conversation, yes I would, but until someone who is actually using one and has negative things to say the verdict is still out.
