For southeast regional -- avoid ANY job or account that has you working with ANY of the so-called "dollar" stores: Dollar General, Family Dollar, etc.
Those jobs are meatgrinders for a new driver -- & are FAR BETTER left to other drivers with 3+ years experience.

...into everything I have ever done. I am going to Skyline Transportation, and they pay me while I am getting my CDL. They do their own in house...

Note also that....freight volumes right now are mostly...in a recession.
What that means for you: companies that normally would hire you right out of CDL school -- now may well tell you that they aren't hiring "in your area"....or they now instead want 3 to 6 months experience, minimum (or both).
Thus -- you may very well work harder (& longer) to score your first CDL gig.
Don't get discouraged!!!
It's not really you. In many cases, now -- it's really just a sucky freight market.

As I understand Bison, it is a pretty good company but I vaguely remember it may have driver-facing cameras. I would want to know if that is true before deciding to drive for them. If a driver is OK having a camera on him all day, Bison seems pretty good to me. I may be confusing Bison with another company. Having a camera on the driver shouldn't necessarily keep a driver from choosing a company. I don't think I would choose to be on video all day, while I am OK with having a road facing camera operating, heck I even add my own forward facing camera just to protect me, when I drove.

If you are in the Southeast USA, please investigate Averitt Express. I worked for their account in TN for 18 years. It was one of the most honest and driver focused companies I've seen. They have LTL (no newbies), City Pick-up& delivery, Dedicated, Flatbed, Regional, and On Tour Logistics (no newbies). Great benefits. No cowboys need apply. They try to hire boy scout types. Fleet speed limit is 65 mph.
