THIS is why going to school is stupid

nobody wants to hire you because you have no actual experience

go to ta company-sponsored school and that way you get a job immediatley, stick it out for a year and then imagine all the options you have, you get 10 times more if you stick it out for 2 years (which is very very hard)

As its been said, sounds more like a refresher than actual CDL training. The carriers see those no differently than you doing it on their own. Getting hired may be tricky minus ones that do training.

    20 hrs ?

That would barely be enough time to teach you how to start the truck and adjust the mirrors....

everyone needs to remember that these schools are not designed to teach you how to be a truck driver. They are only to get your cdl.

Once you obtain your cdl you must find a company willing to train you....

Not true, I went to an acredited school and had no issues getting a job. Wound up going local but if you look at the ads for most carriers they take minimum of 1yr OR professional school.

California is full of these 3 day cdl schools....

they cater to people wanting to drive those trucks that shuttle produce from the fields to the coolers... not actual otr jobs

You could try Maverick. A recruiter from there told my nephew they don't care how you got your CDL just that you have it. Maverick hauls flatbeds and reefers. You'll have to be willing to relocate though because CA isn't in their hiring area.
