There are plenty of resources on this site and plenty of drivers willing to help. Your location would help tremendously.

That is actually not true.... there are many other companies that have more lenient requirements then Werner. . But it is a common misconception. .. since werner is self insured drivers think it means they dont have to answer to an insurance company and therefore more lenient. . But it is not true...

That's down right scary. People running those ops are just going to get the govt. further involved in passing tougher regulations

Try some local beverage delivery jobs. You'd be surprised what kind of qualification requirements go out the window when you are presentable, have customer service skills and can pass the piss test. Most may even take your cdl with 20 hours training and further develop your skills in house and you'll get paid hourly while you train.

    Seriously, look into it.

All major companies is not gone give u the keys just because u got hard copy they want 160 BTW hours before they will give u keys to their truck and u still dont no Jack till u become 1st seat this is where u learn. I went to road master got my licence I had to go 6days a week 7am to 7pm graduated I knew how to shift, stay in my lane and the book stuff. Starter companies are pretty much the same just ask them how long is the training program. Like covenant is 6mths u have to team, CRE is 90days, swift is aprox 6-8 weeks I think its like 160-240 btw hrs, crst is a team only company, ptl is 3wks phase 1 phase 2 30000mi then u become 1st seat if u want u do otr u will have to train had been driving for a year and singed on with company that had 13spd trans they made me train for 2wks. U just have to research let yo fingers do yhe walking to find a company.
    Good luck

KKW Trucking will probably hire you. Located in Pomona.

Use them as a first choice. If that doesn't work, try Southern Refrigerated Transport; sometimes those that excell in their school can graduate early and hit the road. No money needed and can finish the course in 3 weeks or 4 weeks. Hotel room and meals paid.
