Along with what everyone else has said, some companies won't hire you due to insurance reasons but some will. Considering it was a pre-cdl ticket, it won't look as bad as if you had the same ticket with a cdl. I was tagged for 78 in a 55 on my bike(speed limit dropped to from 70 to 55 & officer clocked me right @ the sign) in 2009. Blocked me from a decent number of carriers but I still ended up finding a decent gig. Just keep it clean for a few years and then move to your company of choice. Remember that a lot of applicants other applicants may have felonies or misdemeanors, maybe a wreck or two, etc.

 

Always be mindful of your actions, for every choice you make and every action you take may affect the rest of your life. Remember that.

 

One FedEx driver lost his rear trailer and didn't realize it until the trooper chased him down. Even then he denied the trailer was his saying, "Can't be my trailer; mine has the wheels on the bottom."
