They have to beach to someone Looney. But I don't understand why they always have to hijack a positive thread to whine and cry like a little baby to everyone about a company. I think everyone here knows that there isn't a perfect trucking company out there to work for. Just because it didn't work out for you, doesn't mean it isn't going to work for the next driver.

The only reason I'm leaving Marten is because of the increase in pay and better benefits offered by New Century. But of course that didn't stop others from saying "See! We told him Marten was terrible."paintballjock, The Challenger, outerspacehillbilly and 3 others Thank this. -
you know wahts funny looney tune your the only one upset you dont want to hear the truth well big boy ask the driver about the pay decrease they took and alos ask them about the health insurance increase they took.. ask dispatch how long they will be in bussiness im glad mushroom is making it but if i can sayt something to help him out i will so i think you should worry about marten for some reason you tyhink you need to keep bringing up marten... new century is a different animal wait till you cross mike m or dont run a load over weight or you screw up or get to a customer and the freight is turned or stacked.. mushroom will be on a good run of good luck for a while.. go in the shop and ask them how long it is between oil changes.. and when you really look at your check how much you lose for doing multi stops you dont know the pickups used to be 30.00 a pickup now there 15.65 a pick up and the mileage rate used to be 56 cents now its 45 so think again before you run youmouth to me what i should do or say.. looney tune you will crash and burn there you were a trailer load driver new century does ltl and most guys cant handle more then one or two stops i did ltl cross country for 16 years.. and its a tough beast to deal with ....

How do you know I will crash and burn at New Century? See that is my point... you automatically assume everyone will fail there. I'm not running my mouth to you. All I said was this was supposed to be a positive thread about how one is doing at New Century. Obviously they made some changes there. But guess what? A LOT of companies cut their pay.
All I basically said was why not wish people the best instead of assuming that the worst will happen? Even Mushroom asked that negative posts not be made here. Again I understand you had a bad time at New Century, it doesn't mean others are not happy there or won't be if they go there.Last edited by a moderator: Aug 1, 2010

Hard Rider... you and I are not going to see eye to eye on this. So I'll wish you the best of luck in whatever you do. But I'm going over to New Century and I am confident it will work for me.
Mushroom keep us updated here... it sounds like you are doing well with them.outerspacehillbilly and Hitman Thank this. -
I am leaving a company that gets slammed daily, but have made the best of paycuts with more of a workload expected of me. (and the pay wasn't great to begin with) I simply wanted to thank Mushroom for sharing his experience so far. Nowhere in this industry would I expect sunshine and rose gardens. Like Looneytune I will go regardless of what's posted (unless I win the lottery!
) and deal with each day as it comes. I believe your warning is sincere and say thanks-but really will have to experience it myself. I commited to going two weeks ago and will turn in my company truck on Monday and head over there next week for orientation. Maybe I'll see you there Looneytune!
LooneyTune and The Challenger Thank this.
