Yes and I have the new qualcomm also, and it sucks... Roehl was not really ready to implement all of the features... so they just put them out there and disabled everything. No scanning, no in truck navigation, just the same old canned messages, and e-logs that never work, so you still have to keep a paper log too. I was really hopeful that this new system would finally streamline some of the 900 messages a day that we must send, but it has only made it worse, I want my old qualcomm back. As for curtain side good luck, miles are about 2000 per week for me, and I am a trainer. As for the solo guys I really do not know. Lots of loads to New York City and the Northeast, if that is your thing. I do it because it is the only stable fleet here at Roehl right now. As soon as I can nail down a non-driving job, I am out of here!

Since I live in upstate NY, will that mean I will be closer to home more often? I go to orientation on Monday. I am driving a rental from Albany, NY (19 hours-Saturday and Sunday).

I was just in Newburg the other day. We get into the Syracuse area quite a bit in Vans and I think Pa on flats and curtains. Enjoy your 19hour trip...

The first time I heard that they were working on this system was about a year and a half ago, and it still isn't ready. I guess it'll be done as soon as they build that terminal in Oshkosh :biggrin_25522:

Well as tight as roehl is , the new quallcom units wont be fully functional till there in all the trks. Ray Gabriel's very exciting messege was to good to be true ! paoldschool just confirmed my suspitions. I really don;t understand how some drivers on this roehl forum are getting over 3000 miles and others can barley get 2000 a week. Team Roehl needs to get it together and take care of their drivers if they really want them to stay, after all it's the drivers that earn roehl all those awards, not the management team in marshfield ! One minute I hear ( you are in a bad area for freight)
the next minute I hear ( we really need you to take this load we have more frieght than truck's) please make up ur mind ur giving me a headache !

Just spent two days not able to log a student into the new Qualcomm, so all driving time gets assigned to me... Great! If they don't get the bugs out of this soon I might not just quit training, I might just leave Roehl period!

yea listening to the voicemail about it made it all sound like a good deal.. i actually LOL'ed out loud hearing the features.. knowing full well that A. only thing to be activated first and foremost was e-logs and B. it would have a yr of bugs to work out. but yet u still have to do paperlogs as well and elogs round to the minute unlike to the next 15 min mark on paper. making it always wrong one way or the other lol... only thing i liked about it was the in-truck scanning and i foresee that being on the bottom of the list to turn on lol.... ah well such is life :)

I am starting orientation tomorrow (I am in the hotel now) and I am looking forward to e-logs since they are (hopefully) more accurate.
