2 holes for 3 drivers? How’s that going to work?

That might have one driver demanding the other two not use his hole, and like @Dave_in_AZ said there’s no “I” in “team”. :biggrin_25523:

Yeah. That's one of those problems that the less I think about it the happier I am.
Three guys in one truck...all I can see is aggravation for everybody involved.

Lonesome and MACK E-6 Thank this.

I'm telling you there were trainers that took two students way back when. This isn't new.

Not 3 bunks but way back when, North American Van Lines had a truck with seats in the bunk area complete with seat belts. They would take, I think three new drivers a time on a trip to Tennessee to learn how to go down a mountain grade. No big hills around Ft Wayne. All three were able to learn to drive up and down the grade in a truck with no jake brake. Stayed in motels at night.

Bumper, Lonesome and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Yea they didn't have the triple bunker with snorkel AC, but there were trainers that took 2.
On paper logs. No DEF. Just ZOOM lol.

I can never complain about the training there. They had a first class school and classroom.

I had a trainer that was neat and clean, and knew his business.

Back then there were six major hurdles to getting your own truck.

    1) You had 2 chances to pass the drive test before you were hired or you were done.
    2) You had 2 chances to pass the obstacle course before you were hired or you were done.

I failed both the first try.

    3) 3 weeks with a trainer or 15,000 miles, and you had to complete your training modules on the Qualcomm.
4 & 5) Same as 1 and 2 only to upgrade to solo.
    6) 3 weeks as a second seat with a lease op. That was a long 3 weeks.

    LilRedRidingHood and Lonesome Thank this.
