It's ok. Rest easy.
You brought a rather important set of concerns and I hoped that you feel better at least knowing what is what. I don't believe in blowing a man down for nothing. That's not how we do it back in baltimore.
Knowledge is the light of the world and thus our freedom from simple wallowing in the mudpit of not knowing.
Take care, talk to you again sometime. See you on the flip side.

Just a bit of advice... you may think you want to run local in Maryland. Hell, sounds great getting home every night. Telling you now, you won't make a dime running local there if you aren't paid by the hour. The entire beltway area is a parking lot 24/7. Nothing but preventables and high blood pressure in your future.
Take any job you can get that will not only allow, but DEMAND that you run legal. Do your time, be loyal(they won't, but you will) and move on.
I thought Swift would be a starter company, and largely they have been. But I have seen many people who have worked their entire career from start to retirement here as well. Your attitude will determine your level of success.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Another is Shedds of what I recall as wilkens or sw avenue in Baltimore. They ship country crock butter. basically all of it is loaded in the morning into afternoon, then goes to Hunts Point by sunrise next day. Then to Cape Cod for fish, one or three large atlantic flounder, sometimes walk em one a time three miles from the docks to your parralled parked truck. Those come back into Jersey or so on.
Maryland aint much for freight. But they have a little bit, remember their handle is "Little America" because that state has everything America does in one form or another. Just not a whole lot of it. -

The OP who started the thread "So I have a past, it's haunting me" just went through a similar experience. Can't remember the dude's handle, but look up his thread. Good luck!
