It is amazing, isn't it? CRE and others getting away with violating the minimum wage law when it is so easy to prove with truck/driver logs? And even if they do stick to the law.. minimum wage or little more for 6- 7 weeks, performing the stressful, dangerous job of driving a 70+ ton rig on crowded highways and living in a truck for 4- 7 weeks straight??? It's obscene!

You believe they are violating the law? ... Prove it. At federal minimum wage they would only have to pay you $525 to cover the entire 70 hours you can work. You run at a moving average of 45mph, at the starting solo scale of $.26 you will be paid $819 ... About 60% more than minimum wage.

I think it is obvious to any knowledgeable forum reader that I'm talking about trainee pay.

When did CRE enter the heavy haul market?

Not really ... you can work 70 hours in 8 days, or an average of 8.75 hours per day ... minimum wage is $7.25 ... to meet minimum wage all they have to pay is $63.43 day ... Isn't Phase 1 pay $63.50 a day or there abouts?

Ive been driving for England for 6 months and I've never made anything close to that so I have no idea where you came up with that number.

Most company green horns make about $400-600 a week in my experience but that has a lot to do with the learning curve. Now that they are making company drivers become phase 1 trainers the pay is up but so is the risk for fatality.
