New Driver Here Looking for advices

with the number of big truck wrecks still occurring between northern Ontario and Winnipeg I’m sure the usual suspects are still hiring off their friends and family list

 

Well, the one guy, was going going to be approved, until the "Mental Health Only" track got pushed back to 2027. The guy I spoke with, was trying to convince his doctor of "co-morbidity" of multiple issues to get approved. I don't know if he did or not, but in 2027, he very well might. I don't know how true it is, but apparently you can get them to bend the rules a bit, if you're a registered organ donor.....

Regardless, it not a conversation I thought I would ever be having, with healthy 40-50 year olds willing to work.

 

that’s the big reason you see job ads with must have a letter from insurance. it’s to prove you actually have the experience that’s on your application. like you said these clowns will just lie and use friends or family as past employers to get the job


Also i’ve applied to GFl many times with having 17 plus years of semi truck driving experience and never heard back . yet they’re crying on a truck news article claiming they can’t find drivers . they said they are now hiring newbies from trucking schools

I personally think they only hire through programs like Lmia now because the government pays them back
