They have different modles for Owner/Op
1. Lease onto with Interstates Authority (thats what I do)
2. Lease onto Interstate with your own Authority.
Using Interstate's Authority:
You pay Unladed Bobtail Insurance, Workmens Comp, Qualcomm and Fuel. It all comes out of your weekly settlement.
Insurance: $7.38 a week
Workmens Comp (Oregon): $35.00 a week
Qualcomm: $10.00 a week
(Interstate pays the majority of truck insurance)
Interstate pays you 67.5% of the Load PLUS 100% of Fuel Sur Charge.
Also get .10 Cents off per Gallon Cash Price within the fueling Network (Pilot, Flying J)
Interstate pays for Base Plates and all Permits
After all expenses .. Your pay should be $1,300 - $2,000 a week.
So if you have a truck payment like I do, 1 week pays the payment
--------
Your own Authority:
You pay 100% of your Unladen Bobtail Insurance
You pay 100% of Workmens Comp
(Not sure if they use Qualcomm)
You pay for Base Plates (not sure about permits)
Interstate pays 77% or 80% of load PLUS 100% Fuel Sur Charge.
77% for a 3 day settlement cycle
80% for a 20 day settlement cyclemje Thanks this. -
thought i heard them say thursday, was confused my first paycheck went in friday so i was like oh maybe they meant thursday night lol, i just go online to check the settlement. man they put everything on there. sittin on 70 in missouri, the freeway was an ice skating rink, and the T/S is no better, i got stuck a few times and even as I type theres 3 rigs stuck in front of me blocking me in, not planning on moving for the night but this parking lot needs a plow lol

so, been out for 4 weeks so far, requested 4 days off 2 weeks ago so they had a heads up. was supposed to be back in TN yesterday for home time but im sittin here in carlisle with no load... 2 days ago a planner tried to give me a load heading to SC for today and I told him I was supposed to be home today, he didn't even seem to know. Maybe these people don't communicate as well as I thought they did.

Whats up driver? Still there and has the company learned to listen better? 2 things you dont screw with are money and hometime. What do they govern yalls trucks at?
mje Thanks this. -
yeah still here, I swapped over to midwest regional so Im home most weekends.
In orientation we were told governed at 63... my truck seems to do more like 65, and I spoke with a guy that got one of the new kenworth 680's and he said his was set at like 68 so I guess it depends on the truck you getmje and Dark_Majesty_06 Thank this. -
I have talked to a driver at Tacoma and his truck wasn't even governed haha they didn't notice till first service......
mje Thanks this. -
An ungoverned truck would be nice. Too bad we can't average over 61 mph per day. My truck was running at 61 top speed until last week when we had it in for PM service and the Freightliner guy updated the truck computer. Now it tops out at 66...but I'm not complaining.
Sent from my Jelly Belly Galaxy Nexusmje Thanks this. -
Score at 66................. Make sure you watch out in CA and Or might be trouble at 66
mje Thanks this.
