Why would anyone go to PAM if they're only paying .35 per mile? Even Swift's pay has to be significantly above that.

Not being a buster, actually would like to see you become successful, okay? Pam is garbage, true, but you are the one that can improve. Pam never will.

The way the universe works is, until we learn, the universe will throw the same scenario at us again and again. Those Lost It situations, could you now recognize from the beginning?

Be warned, tho…if you play those scenarios through your head to where you can see where you screw up, but then go out with a new job, recognize the beginning signs, and STILL lose control, that would be an indication of stupidity.
If you are Dumb, you don’t know. Nothing wrong with that. But if you know better, but are unable to use this intel, guess what?

“But Six, I have a foul temper/PTSD/trust issues from childhood…etc.”

Does that mean that you cannot adapt/improve?

    Luck in battle.

    Where is your location?
Get a credit card and pay off the cdl school money you owe. Then shred the credit card and throw it away.

Last couple years life has gotten real difficult. I started to get furious and get verbally abusive towards people whenever my stress level gets too high.

I am going to try to make the changes necessary. It can be hard to identify the triggers at times. Sometimes I just allow myself to get angry. Like I could hold my tongue but I just end up letting loose. It's not good.

    Vitamin C
Anxiety sufferers should take 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C with bioflavonoids, twice per day, for a calming effect on the nervous system, and double this dose under times of high stress.

You can do it. You can fix this. The first step to fixing any problem is recognizing that you have the problem. You're half way there already.

I don't know your age. I am also not jumping on you. Just telling you about my journey through life. I used to be a bit impatient with what I considered stupidity. Was always in a hurry. I ate horrid junk food and up till about 20 years ago drank alcohol more than I should have. There is an old saying I remember from my Air Force Days in the 70s about knowing how it feels to get slapped! I mean slapped hard! I was studying some history about famous slaps and read the story of Lord Altrincham who got the (redacted) slapped out of him in the 1950s after attacking the Queen in print and on TV. This article says it was a punch, but I have also heard it was indeed a slap. Talking down and angrily to others is a good way to lose a tooth. I remember once a driver smarting off to a traffic manager got his paperwork put on the bottom and was there for a while because of it. In my case after developing epilepsy and later heart problems I have had to learn to slow down and be at peace with both myself as well as those around me. I can also add I never found time to develop a relationship with a woman. Up until several years ago, I lived alone with lots of friends around me. Today after an adult adoption (for estate purposes) I have a daughter and a grandchild on the way. Anger management MUST come from within. You have to choose to stay calm. In your case, I doubt you were fired because of rudeness to shippers. I was standing behind my Fleet Manager once when another F/M sitting beside him ended a conversation. He looked at my F/M and said that driver is done, I am speaking to the boss about terminating him when he gets in. It's OK to have a difference of opinion with management. I did a lot. Let me put it this way. You can refuse to move a load for a good reason, but you can't dispute the parentage of that manager in the process. That BS will get you fired quickly. Calm down hand, and learn to take deep breaths. This job is almost always going to come with stress. Learn to deal with this stress, if you can't then you might want to find another career!

You need to get more training so you can get experience in driving and also please have control of your anger that is good for you as well for other people on the road. Good Luck.

----{ Grumpy......... It wasnt me who made me this way, It was Waste Management. It was a blessing to be fired from there.

As someone else noted: Pam........ they did you a favor. Move on. You'll have a better attitude for it.

I'm over it..... you can be too.
