Well I have orientation lined up with Star Transportation in Nashville. We'll see where that goes. I just have to try to sick it out for a year somewhere and then I will have a lot more options open.

Be careful, once dispatch knows you were "okay" with spending one Saturday out on the road they will likely try to push the envelope to see how far they can go with you. Honestly and i say this with all due respect, if you want to be home on Saturdays then you shouldn't take a job knowing there's every possibility you will likely be out because it will cause no end of frustration in your life.

Well the problem is there are only a couple companies that I have found that guarantee you home saturday. A lot of companies tell you you will get home every weekend but I am finding out that just means you will get home but it may not be until sunday night sometimes. So far this has been my biggest problem with the industry. There are a lot of jobs I can get that will have me home sat. but I have to have a couple years OTR to get those jobs and I don't want to screw up my whole life to get the experience but it looks like I am screwed either way.
