Please explain why it's a waste of time for a newly licensed driver to ride with a trainer? The reason he's having trouble finding a job is because of his lack of experience. What better way to is there to get experience other than riding with an experience trainer? We have way to much carnage on our roads now caused by inexperienced or untrained drivers !Should be a no brainier..CanadianTrucker705 and Phantom Trucker Thank this.

Yeah and learn the bad habit of said trainer with 6 months experience. Better way is to learn on your own. I've not once rode with a trainer and no issues learning any trucking job just by simply calling the boss and asking. Its just driving. It's super simple.

That kind of backwards thinking is exactly why we have all the carnage today. People take a short course and then hit the road with no experience thinking they know it all because hey its just driving, super simple right.Nobody with 6 months experience should be training anyone but hell even a guy with 6 months could teach a rookie a few things.Phantom Trucker Thanks this.

Truck Driver - A/Z City P&D / Peddle Driver - Timmins, ON - Indeed.com
AZ Delivery Driver - Timmins, ON - Indeed.com
Just Apply!. That's all you can really do. Sometimes a company takes a chance and sends you out for a couple weeks with a driver trainer in order of gaining that experience.CanadianTrucker705 Thanks this. -
Nope, you're the one with backwards thinking. Just because you may have had a hard time learning to drive doesn't mean that it's hard for everyone else, besides, all the carnage keeps things interesting and fun to watch/hear about lol. The whole point of the A/1 license is to confirm that you can drive a truck, if someone can't go out and start working after getting the licence then they should have never got it in the first place.AModelCat Thanks this.

Just because you have an A license doesn't make you a truck driver. I think your attitude would change in a hurry if some untrained newly licensed know it all rookie wiped out you or your family.
-
Wrong again, plenty of experienced drivers kill people too.
-
Yes they do.All I'm saying is that it's not a waste of time,as you claim, to put a newly licensed driver with a trainer to get some experience. All they've had was enough training to pass a simple road test .

Yeah it is a waste, especially for the company. Why pay 2 non team drivers just to move 1 load. Totally unnecessary.
