This here is the reason truck manufacturers are putting orange seat belts instead of black ones. That way it's easy for a overseers to spot you without it on. I hope that you can get this resolved. As most companies will frown on this. But I thought PSP was the only thing drivers had to worry about these days. Not csa, wasn't csa turned into psp

This happens at Prime alot when they get an inspection. They've been telling us not to take the seatbelt off until you know the officer has seen it on.Lepton1, UsualSuspect, Highway_Executive and 1 other person Thank this.

Agreed I have learnt my lesson, will definitely not take it off next time!Lepton1 Thanks this.

I never lost a seatbelt case that I remember. I'm 100% positive I never lost a seatbelt case. I got on in my pov by a deputy and could easily had it done away with. He caught me and I paid the fine.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
One ticket isn't going to impact your cdl but your employer may feel different if this happens while on their clock. Some companies are real strict about wearing your seltbelt.
-
No, you have NOT let it go. I also was not rude, but I can be if you want me to be. Actually this same thing happened to me in Mississippi back around 2000. It makes you angry I know I've been there. However the deed is done. Stop worrying about that you have no control over and get back to work. In 3 years nobody will remember this happened. No point in giving yourself an ulcer over it.

get a lawyer an get it reduced to a parking ticket, i would rather pay for a parking ticket than explain to a new employer why i wasnt wearing my seatbelt.

Companies won't give #### what the circumstances were. They'll look at the lack of common sense. All my paperwork is in the door sleeve, within reach. First thing my mentor told me. Keep your current bills, permits, wallet and cdl/medical card within reach.
Third day out with him I rolled through my first scale. I didn't know wtf to do and I just sat there on the scale like an idiot. On second thought, pull around and bring in your paperwork.
My dumb ### rolls in there and he asks for my medical card. Whoops, I forgot it. Oh that's not a problem. Let me come to the truck with you and help find it.
Level 1 inspection. Lesson learned. -
Screw the lawyer, save your money. Just pay the ticket don't get yourself drawn into this CSA obsession BS.
And you will get hired and rehired with open arms by many. I rolled the truck over on I 294 in 2004 and the same employer was calling me the next day to see if I could cover one of their loads . And I was all bruised up and walking with a cane. LOL. I am saying this so you know that your concern about your employer should not be too deep. They would never care about you as much.Last edited: May 9, 2017
bentstrider83 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Here's your advice. Put the belt on whenever you come in or pass a scale. put ur arm through the loop if you pass a cop sittin on the comedian. Then flip it off as you go by. If your pain attention you can see them come up on you so flip the loop over so it looks like it's on.
Also when pulling into a toll booth. I've had cops pop out from Behind the booth and look.
I've been driving since 1977. I've never worn a seatbelt except when I needed to.ie, mentioned above.or when pulling into a co. yard. Most co's have rats and they will rat you out.
Also, lock the doors when you pull into s scale. Or at a toll booth cause I've bad cops open the door to look in.
The cop caught you square? Pay the ticket and move on. Lesson learned. Now pay attention.
