Once you get your truck, more than likely your terminal will have some fluids for you to carry. If not they will cover the cost. Windshield washer fluid, gallon of oil, gallon of coolant, 5th wheel grease (I carried an old tupperware bowl and a large paint scraper for application). Two ratchet straps, a piece of rubber, duct tape, electrical tape, assorted tools, JB Weld, Hand cleaner, rags, flashlight (one hand held, one you wear on head), bungee cords (heavy duty rubber), old blanket for laying on ground, old sweatshirt, WD-40 and dry lube), Rain-X, nylon cord and a small tarp. Window cleaner and a roll of paper towels. You can add as you see fit.

Good lists. Some of the items, besides condoms and lube, made me think. Thanks for the advice.

Condoms? Lube? Haha. Guess I did think about it.

Here you go it's easy. First off, once you get away from your trainer, anything you think you want to buy except for needed personal item, put it on a list, mentally, and if you can remember it in a week maybe you do need it, if not you saved yourself.

Most of the crap new drivers buy ends up going under the bunk never to be used. If it don't fit in your duffel bag, and can not go on an airplane you probably wont need it anyway. Number one item, do not spend your emergency money on crap, save it to get home. I have a closet full of stuff I thought I needed like a Valentine Detector. Radar Detectors, I got more speeding tickets running with it than I have since I shelved it. Just don't waste a bunch of money, think before you spend.
If you have to ask you probably do not need it.

Definitely. Truck stops gouge the daylight out of you on medicine type stuff. I paid 9 dollars for a bottle of visene at a petro several years ago.
