I drove for Henderson in 99-00 and I can tell you this I spent more time out West than I ever had. Heck it got so the Freaking Truckee DOT Officers picked me out a lot of the time for an Easy Inspection to Just have one that Passed.

They go to a CDL Mill to learn just enough to get a CDL, NOTHING MORE. They got to a CDL mill to get a CDL in hopes of getting a job so they can support themselves & their family. Sometimes out of desperation. Sometimes out of desire to drive.

Sorry to hear that. I know I spent more money from the time I started orientation until I got off the truck in Caseyville than I made. In the month I was on the truck. Let me know where you land. I hope everything works out for you.

You still driving with them or did you have to quit too? I could've scraped by if it hadn't been for them not routing my trainer back to get me for 2 weeks. I wanted to be home 3 days, they planned a week and it turned into 2. I miss the driving already though. I loved that part, but the money wasn't there at the time. I'm looking to hire on with the local school bus yard. Pay sucks but it's something that'll allow me to get back to college and get my GI Bill as well.

i'm sorry you guys couldn't make a go out of it.. i saw darky was doing so good but i don't know about blackcat. when I started driving truck in 96 I didn't have any over head basically lived in the truck and motels. but for the most part what i read it wasn't all hendersons fault just bad money planning on your parts i guess. hope for the best to you guys.. i wish i could get back on the road. also wish i never quit henderson just got burnt out... ran a average of 13,000 miles a month. best month just over 15,000 had 2 brand new trucks with them only 70 miles on them. never had any issues as far as breakdowns, i was at friegthliner in troy one time had a list of stuff i wanted done like new seat, calibrate the steering wheel(so it was straight when the wheels was) the clerk called to get the ok after he hung asked me "who are you they never say yes to this stuff but said do whatever he wants." and never got detention pay but my dispatch at the time (lisa) used to hook me up with extra pay any time she could like i was pissed on day and told i needed agravation pay she ask is $50 ok lol. i worked for them from 97-01 and 03-04. starting solo pay with them was .24/mile lol my first driving job i got paid .21/mile lol

I'm still here and doing well. No complaints. Still getting good miles. See a lot of Denver, Salt Lake, and California.
