Go to a school , not a company . Means you paid already and do not owe a company and have that hanging over your head . Ive done both . You will not get a local job . You have no driving experience . Though it can happen . I cannot provide any company paid CDL training as they all have serious pros and cons . As for a school , Google your surroundings for an accredited school . After obtaining your license you will need to pick a company that allows inexperienced and student drivers to be hired . Some good , some bad . Look for company turnover . Choose a specialty , flatbed , tank , reefer , van . Each have there pros and cons , most newbies choose dry van then branch out later if they want . Please before you do all this, read our posts here . Trucking is a commitment , and before I rant make sure you have soul searched and are sure this is what you want to do .
