in comparison to college, and how much college graduates are making now 9500 bucks to go to school and be just about garunteed a job after is decent trade off. that being said no way in hell am i going there. when i'm ready to jump to OTR and get the A license im gonna go to roehl, its 2800 bucks, if you stay on for 120k then you dont have to pay anything back. from what i read roehl is a pretty decent company, not tons of miles but i dont need much. my girlfriend will be moving in when i do this and i'll just be taking care of the mortgage which is only 700 a month and i'm quite sure i will make at least that a month lol. whatever its for the experience, i want to find a good flatbed company to roll with, this place in tennesse starts out at 35 cents a mile. i got a good employment history so i think once i put some time in ill be good. blah blah blah i always get going on here.

What load can you drop legally on the roadway?
A. Salt and/or Sand for ice prevention
B. Birdfeathers
C. Animal Feces
D. All of the above
Just about everyone answers D but that's wrong. The corect answer way back when was B birdfeathers. Answer A and C are not considered part of a load so it left only B which in reality if you think about it you couldn't control if you were hauling live chickens.
I don't know if anyone remembers that test but it was back in the 60's that I first heard about it. Then I heard they changed a little before the CDL came in and when I went to change my CDL all I had to do was pay them a fee. They were known by all the drivers that it wasn't easy and you had to study no matter how years you had driving. -
Geeeze,
I can't remember what I had for dinner last night.
Good memory !!!!! -

######! All this time I've been dropping animal feces on the highways come to find out you're not supposed to!
Speaking to the thread title: I could be classified a new driver, though I got my license 7 years ago and drove a little back then. One of the reasons I'm glad I got out of it back then is because in retrospect, I was a "know it all". Now, I didn't shove it in everyone's face, berate others, and walk around with a proverbial stick up my ### over it. I was always respectful to other people, both casually and professionally.
What's different now is that I have learned in my ripe 31 years on the planet that everything, driving trucks included is a continual learning process for as long as you do it. I hope that I can always keep an open mind as far as that goes.
To drop a cliche that I try to live by:
The one thing I know for sure is that I don't know everything.Buckeye 'bedder and rocknroll nik Thank this. -
That cliche should be on everyone's dashboard, desk kiosk, mirror, etc. where they can see it on a daily basis.
