My concern would be what happens the other 5% of the time ...

What I would suggest is talk to your doctor and see what they think, there is a reason why you are on disability, and some people who truly need it are denied ...

Another thing would be to find a certified Dr who does DOT CDL physicals in your area, and see if they would pass you? There are places that specialize in occupational health and do physicals and drug screens as a regular business, I go to a little clinic in Tucson that is walk-in and charges $59 ... Quite a few cvs drug stores have clinics in the back ... As of last year all DOT CDL physicals need to be done by a person who is on the "approved list" ... Check here and see what is available in your area ... https://nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov/NRPublicUI/home.seam

the 5 percent of the time is probrably going to be my lack of interest perking up, but I will wind up getting my interest back with ease. I am really going to enjoy Trucking but I need encouragement for it.

I would recommend getting your permit first, then attending school. I'm not sure if all states are the same, but here in MN the general knowledge, air brake, and combination permit tests are free. I read the needed sections of the manual several times and then took practice tests from several different online sources. I would then re-read the areas that I was weak on and takes the tests again. Once I could get %100 on all online tests I then went to the DMV and got my permit. Once I had my permit then I signed up for a CDL course, which isn't a full training course just pre-trip and 8 hours driving/backing. I went this route because I drove truck in the Guard many moons ago and just wanted to get my class A.

I hope this info helps you. Good luck!
