Is home time important to you?
Many TMC drivers get home on weekends and Melton drivers don't, because Melton runs coast to coast.

Man.....if you want to apply for Western Express, go for it. While they may not be the golden company of choice, they are a reputable company, and when you look for other jobs, they're valuable in the sense that you'll get experience. You can never have too many offers/options. Melton and TMC is cool...McElroy may be a better choice if you want regional. Perhaps PI&I would be a good option too. If Melton and TMC will take you, and they're your only choices, decide which color truck you like better and hit the road.
Chinatown Thanks this. -

Forgot to ask this question;
Are you willing to relocate?Chinatown Thanks this. -
Western Express - 3300 trucks
TMC - 2500 trucks
Melton - 1500 trucks
I'd personally never work for TMC, kind of a really lame pay structure, especially for a new guy. -
Can’t relocate I just bought my current house last year

The place I work at gets deliveries and sends out shipments using Melton or TMC frequently. If I wasn’t going to stay local I would apply with TMC immediately. They have really nice equipment, they clearly teach how to tarp very well, and every one of the guys I’ve talked to that drive for them is nice and seems to like them.
I think Melton would be fine too, but I’ve noticed more new hands with them. Taking three hours to tarp a load and stuff. Maybe it’s just the area I’m in.bryan21384 Thanks this.
