Hey all, ran into the forum not too long ago and have already learned a substantial amount of great information. I just started studying for my permit. Once that is complete will be getting my 160hrs through a local community college.

So far I have my eyes on car hauling or day cab for a construction company. Have some friends who work in both fields and they receive great pay. Hope to meet some new friends here and learn more about everything and share some knowledge I have with y'all.

The reason most new drivers go to the mega carriers is they are self-insured. Most insurance companies want a few years experience.

Construction work, especially here would be difficult to get into with no experience.

If you are interested in car hauling, United Road at www.unitedroad.com will take drivers with 6 months experience, and some yards will take recent school graduates.

    Good luck.

    Myron_is Thanks this.
