Hey guys I am new to the forum. I have been driving trucks since I was 17. I started out in wreckers then went to the Marines driving trucks. I got out in 04 kept driving wreckers and recently I went to work for Lazer Spot a yard managment company. They took over a shuttle service from JB Hunt hauling unilever products from Jefferson City Mo to Pontoon Beach IL. I make 2trips a day and run 573 miles a day. Curently we are in International Transtar day cab trucks that they bought in July and we are trading them out and moving up to the International Prostars in a week. I can't wait to move into and class 8 truck. The transtars are good for city use but not quite the truck you want to run on the interstate everyday.
If you all ever get tired of not beeing home at night I encorage you all to look into Lazer Spot Yard management jobs around your area. Its a wonderful company to work for and your home everynight.

Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like a pretty decent gig! -
Thanks Guy's. Yeah its not bad for me. They pay us 90 a load to the distibution center in Pontoon Beach and 45 for a return load. We only get 5 of them a week so they are sparse however we also bring pallets back from Chep pallet in Brigdeton and it pay 45 as well. Theres 3 of them a day so it works out great most days I make 225 a day. I know its not setting the worls on fire like alot of big companies do and pay but I am home every night. After beeing away 4 yrs in the marine and 3 of them deployed it will be hard for me to leave for much over a week.

Welcome aboard Mike, Happy to see you made it. Being a newbie myself the only thing I don't like about this forum is the lack of time I have to spend here.
