Just wanted to drop a line introducing myself. My nickname is Yogi, I am a 61 year old body wrapped around a 25 year old brain. I have worked as an electronics tech for the last 34 years but my company is laying off people left and right lately. So I volunteered for the current layoff while I can still make a change. I will be attending a driving school outside of Denver starting mid April and plan on driving for Stevens Transport upon successful completion of my training. I have been thinking of making this change for sometime and feel this may be my last opportunity if I didn't do it now.
I am married with grown children, my wife is use to me being away as I was always traveling for my job in a tech support role. So while I am sure it will be hard on her she is not going to be doing anything she hasn't already done.
My main hobby is Motorcycling from IRON BUTT rides to just riding cross country. I have been in all lower 48 plus parts of Canada and Mexico on my bikes. I have SCUBA dived and SKY Dived in my lifetime but have not done either for awhile now.
The last time I drove any kind of rig was back in the early 70's and I drove a GMC Astro95 while I was in the ARMY on Okinawa. I am sure a few things have changed since thenI am really looking forward to this new chapter in my life and hope I can use this forum to help educate myself.
