New HOS posted today

You know, HOS has never made me get up and drive at midnight. It has forced me to stop earlier that I might have wanted, but has never made me drive when I didn't want to.

 

If I work over ten, I whine. A lot. It's annoying.

 

If there was no HOS i i could drive until tired sleep until i wake up and get going again

 

Does anybody know why HOS exist, or how they came to be anymore?

 

If there were no HOS, it expose all of the irresponsible truckers out there. We, my friend, cannot be trusted

 

You could. And likely be trusted to do it safely and responsibly like most of us did on paper.
But, there will always be that rogue element that refuses to go to bed.
Rumble strippers... Line crowders.. eye rubbers... rear end basher inners.

They're the ones that cause it.
There's no real way to weed em out unless they let US beat them to death when we see it.

 

Yep i hear ya. I dont necessarily want to work more. But all it takes is a 2 or more hour delay getting loaded or unloaded and now u are racing the against the clock. I think if they get rid of the 14 it would make it alot better

I saw that video, man that was crazy!!!!! Whether I was on paper or ELD, I pulled over when I was tired. Now I pace myself on the longer runs. That's an opportunity to catch up on sleep there

 

I see more cars driving tired than i do trucks.
