Log falsification can result in criminal charges as well as a fine . That's why some safety departments say if you have to exceed legal hours go ahead and log it as you do it . A minor HOS violation is far less serious than document falsification .Sublime and airforcetoo Thank this.

Unless you try to exceed it because of the thought that you would be eligible when you are not and then you might get a bigger fine of 11,000.00

True, but have you not heard of the many on here that think they have an automatic 2 hours to drive when the snow was in the forecast for days.

What's that rule about double jeopardy?
