I still keep in touch with Bryan and Chris, both supervisors in the shop at the International dealer I used in the past. I go by the shop frequently on my runs and will check from time to time on how the LT's and the new A26 are doing. If I hear of substantial problems, I will have to finish out my career without another International.

You can blame "Maxxforce" for all the rebranding. Even Prostars with ISX's in them are hard to sell because too many people associate Prostar with "Maxxforce" and therefore will not buy.
Ssgtkevin, Steel Dragon, bzinger and 2 others Thank this. -
I bought one of the new LTs with the A26. First impressions of the truck are very positive.
Ssgtkevin, 2013Maxx, dngrous_dime and 3 others Thank this. -
Keep us posted on how it does.
Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
From a fill up in MO to my fill up here in VA it got 9.16 MPG. I was about 70k gross on both loads. Each time I fill up I check it tank to tank.
Ssgtkevin, Steel Dragon and bzinger Thank this. -
Now that is pretty respectable by anyone's standards. If the emissions and other stuff are durable, then maybe Navistar finally hit a home run.
What are the other specs.... trans, diff ratio, etc. Seems like you hit a great combination.Last edited: Nov 18, 2017

This load was 74-75k gross from VA on 64 all the way to MO. Much more demanding than cruising across 70 on the previous run. From a fill in VA to a fill in MO it got 8.1. My goal for this truck was to average 10 but I'm thinking that, over time, it will probably end up in the low 9s or maybe as high as 9.5. The current numbers are just first impressions.
Ssgtkevin, Steel Dragon and bzinger Thank this. -
Fill to fill, 1740 miles, Rogers, AR-Houston-to my current spot in VA on 81, 9.66 MPG, both loads gross around 68k. I'm getting better at it, I'm still fine tuning how I drive it. Shifting and throttle response are different than the old Cummins I had.
Ssgtkevin, Steel Dragon, daf105paccar and 1 other person Thank this. -
