new kid

Hi to all. I drive a company rig, a Transfer which is a dump truck with a trailer that has a loaded box rolled in the truck after it's empty. I go mainly into contruction sites in So Cal. They supply a Cobra 29 that is used to communicate with the loader in the mines, among other general cb usage.

I have an older '03 Tundra with a Wally World Cobra 19 and cheap mag mount antenna. Suprisingly, whenever I see a co-worker while in my pickup they usually remark that I ought to put that cheapie in the truck it sounds so good.

Anyway I just aquired a new '12 Tundra 4x4 and decided to get something fancier. Got a Galaxy 939 at a special web price for $120. Not sure why anyone needs a frequency display on a straight 40 channel cb, but it looks nice anyway. Sill waiting on delivery

I was not really into cb radios until now and I want to get some ideas from this forum to help me out. I'll post some pics when I get it set up.
