Early this week I will be moving into a new 2018 Navistar LT. The Pro Star replacement. The lease on my company Cascadia is up and I was told to change out asap.
This should be interesting. I am praying it is a half ways decent truck now. I know it is a 15 ltr Cummins motor and the 12 speed auto trans.
I haven't seen the interior in person yet, only in brochure photos. I have spoken with one driver and he said it was far better than he had expected, especially the ride.
We shall see. Ill be posting my initial review.

I checked out a new LT, a bit different than the 2008 ProStar I own, and drive. I was talking to my buddy, he sells them, and most of the improvements are stuff you will never see if you are a company or lease driver. Key things have been fixed, or hardened. Would I trade in my 2008 for one, not on your life, that Cummins motor is still a bit of a mystery, but I did like the cab. It was more solid, doors were improved, had some nice electronic features and wiz bang. Nice truck all in all.Bumper and carramrod32 Thank this. -
It's my understanding that now that Volkswagen is part owner of Navistar they intend to bring the 15 liter motor from the German Mann Trucks over here and replace the Cummins. Its scary to think they are going to keep the piece of crap Maxfarce 13 liter.

I would be surprised if it replaced Cummins. It may be offered as an alternative, but Cummins has way to strong a following to be just dropped I would think.
