    are they always this bad? nothing extreme, no overweight just wide, fax in receipt hours ago and still waiting. Of course none of those great government employees are any help.

    Once you get your insurance on file, just buy them at the POE. oversize only are cheap, like $25.

    Just remember you can not travel Sunday in Nm.
    Buying at the port is the way to go like Ron stated

    Yeah, I was just frustrated, after having really good past month , this week started with hiccups but I was able to salvage it somewhat.

    Their system just seems outdated, fax in request, you have no way of knowing if they received it or not and they don't like or accept status update calls so you don't even know if they accepted or rejected it , then they tell you turn around time is 2-24 hrs.

    With todays technology this seems " Flinstones" like .

    Think that's bad, try Michigan. They only have 1 person assigned to MANUALLY issue all permits. Sometimes it take 4 hours, sometimes it takes 3 days.

    Again, with technology how are these states so behind ? I was surprised they didnt tell me that the fax was down and I had to send my request using a messanger pigeon LOL

    I tought that you can only purschase at POE up to certain dims... that correct?
