I got my new Donaldson's installed today. Had to replace the lower elbows too. They were almost $400 each!!
They sure sound a lot better than the stockers do. About half the weight too!!
I will keep an eye on the mpg's, hope they help.

I Bought a good performance muffler last fall- it's a straight through pipe with a muffler on it. (No baffles). It's a lot of fun.
It sets off car alarms on crowded city streets (sounds like fire trucks and meat wagons are chasing me in NY and LA), rattles car windows and drowns out driver's hand held cell phones when they're next to me. Sometimes I can see large store windows shaking when driving through small towns. Under bridges the sound reflects back down to the cab- at full throttle and high RPM'S it'll make the cab floor vibrate like a foot massage. And yes, fuel mileage improved.
Mostly because I have to drive gently or get stopped for making too much noise.. -
LMAO!! Sounds like fun!
The heat shields were one big SOB to get back on!! The driver's side was the biggest issue. Just the way the H/S brackets go on that side makes them hard to work with.
Billdave26027 Thanks this. -
Please tell me you didn't pay $400 for an elbow alone? My local parts place has them for $110.
